Default New Snare: Beechwood Stave

Hey Guys,

I made a thread a while back on how I wanted a beechwood snare, and most options were very expensive. So I went to Ghostnote and had one of their members build me just the shell at a very great price and I assembled it! Sounds wonderful!

-13 x 5.75 x 3/8 beechwood snare
-2.3 mm triple flanged hoops
-8 Tube lugs
-DW mag throw off
-Gibraltar butt end
-Puresound custom 16 strand wires

Enjoy!! guess who I am a fan of haha

Looks good, Andy! The joints appear nice and tight from the pictures. Was the sound what you were expecting?

Does this one sound kinda like Greb's sig model, because if so, I am very, very jealous.

Hey,
my drum seems pretty bright and at med-high tunings it sounds awesome.
At low tunings it sounds great- but i can't seem to get it really low to sound somewhat like a 14
