Default Iron Cobra - footboard edge

Hi guys,

I'm seriously considering buying a Tama Iron Cobra bass pedal, because I've been reading and hearing nothing but thrilled commentaries on its speed and responsiveness. However, browsing around online and reading some stuff about the pedal, I noticed it has this edge at the top end of the footboard, probably designed to keep the toes from extending too far forward. Since I have rather large feet, and tend to play with my feet quite close to the front end of the footboard, I'm thinking that the edge has full potential to become a major annoyance.

So here's my question to all Iron Cobra owners: 1) Is the edge as annoying as it seems to be (to me at least?) 2) Most importantly, is it removable?

Thanks guys!

Hi mate

The part at the top of the pedal is certainly removeable. That's exactly what I did with mine as when it was on I found it annoying.

Great pedals, tough as nails.

Cheers

Luke
