Default Freakin Sweet deal on EV Drum mics

Musicians Friend is blowing out Electro-Voice Drum Mic Kits on clearance. EV has always put out pretty quality products.

Here's the 4 mic kit

and the 5

I ordered the DK5 last night. And the BFD Eco Software. Looking forward to getting it!

I was just about to post this question about these mic's:
Are they good quality mic's? Has anyone used these? Feedback?

Seems like a good sale from $459 to $129.

I lack Mic knowledge, so just had to ask before I pull the trigger on what appears to be a good sale. Whether it's a good "Investment" is my question. I've purchased my share of items on sale that weren't always that good even though there was a large savings.

BTW, I would be using it in a home studio to record covers and solos. No live use at this time, if that matters.

I did find one interesting review:

http://www.epinions.com/review/Elect...t_504375447172

Towards the bottom are links towards a more detailed review on each of the mic's.

Writer claims it to be a good deal, at the price of $450. Seems to be a stronger fit for live use?

Has anyone else invested in this set and used them yet?

I'm currently in the market for a budget recording setup and this is looking incredibly promising.

Need real life reviews though!!

Thanks!
