Default RTOM Drum Atmospheres™ Snare?

Anyone tried this thing out yet? If it feels right, it would certainly be very useful to me.
I like Jazz-rock, it both swings and rocks.

Default Re: RTOM Drum Atmospheres™ Snare?

Got this from http://www.drumheadmag.com/web/gear_releases.php

RTOM Drum Atmospheres Snare (DAS).

Practice at all hours, anywhere, anytime! Five years in the making, the RTOM has developed a practice pad with the feel of a real snare. Designed to “achieve all the critical performance features of a 14” acoustic snare drum,” the RTOM DAS delivers, with 1000 times less sound. Featuring no exterior hardware, the RTOM DAS uses a patent pending tensioning DAT Ring (drum atmospheres tuning ring). This interior ring allows you to independently tune both the batter and resonant heads. The 10” RTOM DAS is a beauty, rebounding and respondng just like a 14” snare.

Bonus: Incorporating a full sized removable snare strainer, the DAS also converts in to tomtom.

Double bonus: Remove the resonant head/strainer and use the mesh head alone as a more conventional practice pad.

List Price $68.00
