Default alesis dm5 problem. Triggers not working.

Hi,
I've recently tried to set up my old Alesis DM5 drum kit that i've had for a while now but when i tried to play it, it didn't seem to register any hits on any of the pads, i've tried resetting the module but it doesn't seem to make any difference.
Does anyone know how i can fix this?
thanks,
George

So hard to troubleshoot something like this online. It could be so many things.Process of elimination would work here.Start at the cords running from the module to the triggers.Check for any damage.Assuming it was stored a while, maybe the cord snake took a hit or was cut somewhere.
If that isnt it,try borrowing a module from a fellow drummer. If it all works with their module, then your cords and triggers are fine, and you know its your module. From there people on here can be more help.
Kind of like a car.You can get a ton of advise on whats wrong, but if its just out of gas, then it doesn't help much.
