Default Remo Renaissance Emperor

I bought a set of Evans G! coated heads for the Batters of my YMACN drums. However, I could not get them in 10" so I bought a Remo Renaissance Emperor.

On my next head change, should I just go ahead and use a Remo Renaissance Emperor on the 10" tom? Or go out and buy a other G1 coated to match the rest of the kit?

What will be the difference tonaly from Remo Renaissance Emperor vs G1 coated for a 10" tom? Same volume / sustain?

Default Re: Remo Renaissance Emperor

Renaissance Emp is 2 plies of 7 mil (textured) mylar against a 1 ply 10 mil G1. That's the obvious difference between the two. It should provide a little more focus than a single ply head. For all intensive purposes, it's very much like the difference between a G1 and a G2.

Do you like the sound?
