Default Issue

I just purchased a cheap Legacy drum kit just because my main acoustic kit stays at the rehearsal space 45mins away from where I live.
Anyway, for some reason everytime I hit my ride cymble I get a kick and ride sound both at the same time. It's really annoying and I don't know why its doing it. Any help with this issue would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

Default Re: Issue

Never heard of your particular kit, but what you have sounds like a crosstalk problem. This is where the vibrations of one trigger ends up triggering something else. Though I really haven't heard it triggering kicks from cymbals, usually it happens when your snare triggers from your cymbals or toms. Most kits have the ability to adjust sensitivity settings in order to control it. You can also try to make sure your kick pad isn't touching the rack. If that doesn't solve the problem you might have an issue with your drum's brain.
