Default Gibraltar Microphone Shock Mount SC-GSM

Description says "Fits standard mic holders and boom arms", but I'm coming across reviews that say it has a 3/8" female and 5/8" male, instead of both being 5/8". Does anyone have any firsthand knowledge on this, because if it does have a female 3/8", then it's not standard, and a darned poor design because adapters from 5/8" down to 3/8" are easy enough to find, but not the other way around. I'd hate to think I'm back to square one in looking for a way to isolate vibrations coming from my rack down the boom arm that's snaked between my toms holding my snare mic.

TIA

I was thinking about getting a few or three of these.

I'm also interested in knowing if anyone can chime in on this please

EDIT:

It looks like its designed to be used for their specific rack mount. That's probably why it's 3/8th female.

Just heard back from Gibraltar. It is indeed a 3/8" female to 5/8" male. They shouldn't advertise it as fitting "standard microphone stands and boom arms". That is totally misleading. They should at least offer adapters, if they want to be honest about it. I did find some adapters, though from $3 -$5. I guess that's the way to go.
