Default Evans G2 coated batter/Evans G2 clear reso

What would an Evans G2 coated batter with an Evans G2 clear reso sound like on a 16" floor tom? To make it less specific what will a coated 2ply batter and a clear 2ply reso sound like?

Not a lot of resonance or less of course than a G1 depending on the tuning.

A two ply reso will obviously be a shade more focused. I've seen it done with great results.

As always, it depends on the drums, the drummer, the tuning and the desired sound. If you feel the FT is a little too boomy for your tatstes, then there's no harm in trying it.
