Default Best 7/4 since Money?

For me this is the best piece of music in 7/4 since Money - It's a song called 'Bubbles' by the Scottish band Biffy Clyro. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wIY1ZSZvAaM

The 7/4 section starts at about 3:25 and lasts the rest of the song. I just think its great because it's catchy, and took me a while to realise it was in an odd feel.

Any thoughts? Or any other contenders?

It goes back and forth. Much of the song is in 4/4, but the verse is in 7/4, although Neil does his best mask the 7/4 so it doesn't feel so odd.

I seen Biffy the other week when I went to see Foo Fighters, they were really good. I never liked them til I seen them.
Not to mention they live about 40 minutes away from me too, pretty cool guys!

But I think there are definitely alot better 7/4 songs, Times Like These has 7/4 parts in it I think (or 5/4) and that's way better than this. But yeah, Bubbles is a decent Biffy song, the older stuff though... Wow............

Aside from Money, Time Stand Still by Rush comes to mind.

I always liked Manfred Mann's Solar Fire for a 7/4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FoZQtveTgDI ... strange to think it's Chris Slade drumming who later played with the most un-seven-four band ever - ACDC.

Later King Crimson were their typical mathematical selves in Frame By Frame http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-tv6_8Bf1Y but what a 4-piece band sound!

"Turn it on again" by Genesis grooves while alternating between 6/4 and 7/4.

No One Ever Grows Up by Another White Suburbanite
http://anotherwhitesuburbanite.bandc...-ever-grows-up

The Chorus and Interlude switch between a measure of 7 then a measure of 8 but with really natural phrasing.

This is also a shameless plug. It's me on Piano, Vocals and drums.

"Sound of Muzak" by Porcupine Tree is great. It isn't 7/4 the whole way through. Here's a version in which Gavin Harrison embellishes the original drum track a bit... more appealing for us drummers!
