Default DIY project: chimes

Hi guys.I`ve been following this forum for a while but i`ve decided to make an account only now, since i need some help. I`ve been recently had the idea of adding some chimes to my kit, and searched over the internet for some offers. Then, i wondered if i could do my own chimes,as i`ve always been a fan of DIY, and so I started researching. I found some good data on the internet, but they confused me even more.
So i wondered i any drummer from my town could help me with some dimensions, but unfortunately nobody has chimes in here, so i tought you guys might want to help.
I want a set of 20 or 24 chimes... i`d rather make 24, as that means 3 octaves.
I`d really apreciate it if someone would provide me some dimensions:
-Tube outer diameter
-Tube inner diameter
(as to calculate the tube`s wall thickness)
-Length of first and last chime
-Length difference between two consecutive chimes
-Distance from tube end to hanging hole
I could do something randomly, and have the luck that it`ll sound good, but i want to do a good job.

Thanks in advance,

Razvan
