Default Ordered the Ludwig 300 hardware pack

I was at a gig the other day and only a couple minutes into playing my bass pedal broke. I had to play without a pedal for a while until my buddy got his. Anyway I was wanting to get new hardware for a while so right after I went out and bought a Ludwig Speed King and ordered the 300 series hardware pack for good measure (I needed more stands anyway). I was just wondering if anyone had any comments on Ludwig's hardware. I have heard that they are not the best for hardware. Also if anyone had any comments on the Speed King. I think its fantastic! A really good pedal.

For the Speed King, just look at my user picture. I use a 50 year old lamb's wool beater on mine, sounds great on every bass drum it touches. Kicks butt. The 300 series hardware is very solid, but pretty heavy. The cymbal stands should be straight/boom stands, which I like. You can position them however you like, at the cost of having lots of weight. The snare stand is pretty good, just very heavy. I might be selling a lot of my hardware for single braced stuff. I'm really liking my Ludwig flat-based stand for my Agop ride!

i almost got the 900 series hardware but that was even heavier, so figured since im going to be playing the odd gig i would get something lighter yet sturdy.
