Default Experience? Dixon 706 snare stand, Yamaha 600 hardware

Hi all -

I posted a while back about lightweight hardware. Seems like a lot of people are into it, and I think thats great. I wanted to create a new post to ask about experience with specific hardware pieces: Dixon 706 snare stand, and yamaha 600 series cymbal stands (boom and straight). Can anyone share their experience with these stands?

Thanks!

Chris

used yamaha 600 series and higher and 600 series are very good for the price though lightweight they are pretty sturdy, dont shake too much and are solid.i always feel that you do not need to buy the best/heaviest hardware just because it is the top of the line...esp if you are not a busy touring musician.yamaha's lower level hardware are 2nd to none IMO!
