Default Ludwig 26" Blue Sparkle

Here's a sneak peak of my "dream" kit. She's a mutt. I'm moving her soon and will get better pictures when I'm able to. She sounds better than she looks, and she looks great. It's taken me about 6 months to find all the pieces that work, and finally got the last piece, the floor tom, a week ago.

Big e-cred to who can guess the make and sizes of the drums! I started her off for you.

The 16x16 is correct, but the depths of the other 2 are not!

One more hint, only the bass drum is Ludwig. Remember, she's a mutt! The drums are all maple though, except the snare (which can't be seen so good luck to whoever guesses what it is).

Floor tom is a Rogers. Tom looks like it could be Premier?

Nice kit, have fun!!

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say
12x10 Tom
14x26 Bass Drum
Also, very nice looking kit! It always surprises me how awesome Luddies look in real life, as opposed to on their website.

Thank you! Although the only drum there that's a Ludwig is the kick, it does look great in person!

As for the sizes, no and no ='(

The Ludwig IMO is the best looking one. At first glance, mind you.
Oh, and 13x10 and 204x26

Oooooh... *drool*

She's preeeeeety... I don't care if she's a mutt or not, that is one classy lady you have there my friend.

I'm gonna guess 26x10 on the kicker and 13x8 for the rack (tom). Love that blue sparkle.

My snares:

Pearl Sensitone Elite Brass 5.5x14

Ludwig Supraphonic 6.5x14

Emperor coated on the supra, coated reverse CS on the Pearl. I just picked up the Pearl and I love these snares. The supraphonic obviously is a beast. It's just got so much ringy character. The Pearl is a joy, especially for a more focused hit. It's got a nice ring too but it's definitely more mellow. I got brass Puresound wires, I believe the 24 or 30 strand, on the supra which gives it more rattle and I love how the kick sounds with all those strands. Right now I just need a good wood snare, 6.5x14 to round out the 2 metal ones I have.

Got some good gigs coming up in April. I'll take good stage pics of the kit including cymbals and update this thread then!

Here's a quicky... Recent show in VT at the Monkey House with the band Township. Great bar, great crowd, great band. Specs shown are:

11x13 Premier High Tom
16x16 Rogers Floor Tom
16x26 Ludwig Bass

22" Dream Bliss cymbal left
20" Paiste 2002 crash cymbal right

Sounded great! The little microphone was for the light show ;D

Hi man! so I get a cut from the bingo prize due to the rack tom size, eh?

...by the way, that's the same size I use for rack tom!

Eh, I should do a better job of consolidating threads, but better late than never. Here's a 2-mic recording of this kit:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=odSRJ0cJkE0

I've since then picked up a couple more mics and have been experimenting with placements and such.

Thanks man!

Here's a new 3 min drum solo. If you're into that sort of thing, you might like it. It's pretty loose. I recorded with 4 mics this time, also in mono. Same kit!
