The only non-chrome stands I've seen are DW's gold-plated hardware, Axis I think makes partly black hardware, and Slingerland did gold and black stands way back when. There was some locally I started a thread about but I never bought them... kinda regret it. I've never seen brass stands. If you do find any, let us know!

The way to do this, short of being an A-level endorser, is to hit a local plating shop up. I got the hardware for my '20s black beauty replated in copper to fix the spots where it had worn through to the underlying brass, etc. The work is beautiful but make no mistake, it's expensive. $40 to plate every piece of hardware on a drum... I can only imagine what a full set of stands would cost (because there's also going to be labor charges for *full* disassembly).

Almost makes that markup DW asks for the gold hardware look reasonable.
