Default will my stands hold?

so a while ago i bought a Sound Percussion(SP) boom stand.
this one:
http://www.guitarcenter.com/Sound-Pe...93-i1413612.gc

and i mount my crappy Zildjian Scimitar ride on it.
but now i'm going to guitar center to pick up a new crash. and fly that off the SP stand
i also want to pick up some clamps to mount my toms to cymbal stands.

do you think my SP stand will hold up to a 12" tom hanging off of it?

and i also have this really light weight PDP stand. i wanted to mount my 10" off of that too, but i'm pretty sure its gonna flip if i do. and i've put some sand bags on the backside so that it'll prevent it from leaning, but will the pole itself bend if i mount it? its reallly thin. maybe a pointer finger in diameter.

Yes the SP stand will hold up just fine. I mounted my 12" tom to one of those stands and used it that way for quiet a while with no problems. If you wanted to you could get a SP snare stand and put your 12" tom in it also(just a suggestion).

I would think for the price of the extra clamp, you can buy another Sound Percussion stand. I picked up a couple of the Sound Percussion straight cymbal stands for $30 each new. A name-brand clamp probably costs as much!

I think most people would be surprised what you can hang off of one stand.

The key is balance and putting the center of gravity of accessories as low as you can while still being comfortable.

I have an older SP stand, which is a bit heavier duty then the current model, and I have a ride, a crash, and a china off of it. In the past, I have also had a 2nd pair of hats and a cowbell in addition to the 3 cymbals all on this same stand.

i just bought myself a Sabian AAX 14" and a sound percussion straight stand. my parents wouldnt let me get multi clamps. so i have to use those steel hose clamp things:

so that i can clamp my tom arms to the stands.

oh what my family does to save money. but hey if it works it works right?
