Default Rods, Aka Bundle Sticks, And nylon tips..

I have been playing a lot of songs with rods. The music I have been playing, calls for a lower volume and they fit the bill. I love them. I can strike with the same intensity and get a more subtle sound.

My question to the forum is. I have never seen a rod with a nylon tip. This would help so much when riding the cymbal. The bamboo tip just doesnt cut it on a ride. I am going to try to melt some nylon and cover the tip..

I mostly play the rod tight. There is no problem when I slide the rod open to lets just say play a train beat..So dont ask why dont you just play sticks...

If the product isnt out there.. Has anyone every tried to add a nylon or plastic tip that will hold up.. And how did you do it..

Thank you..
Don//

Thank you. Ph.. That is exactly what I pictured in my mind. That little tip of nylon to ride a cymbal..The rest of the bundle will play the same...

Thank you very much..
Don.
