Default Michael Tegza

This guy has been fleeting in and out of my earphones for the past 10 years now. To date, I haven't found out much about him.
His name is Michael Tegza, drummer for the 60s psych-rock band HP Lovecraft. He played with them for 2 years, then joined Bangor Flying Circus, and then reformed Lovecraft for a bit in the 70s with a new lineup. He played a double bass kit in the vein of Baker and Moon, and from an interview I read of one of his Lovecraft bandmembers, was completely brilliant. Some of his stuff:

I suspect if he had been in a higher profile band, he would be up there with the drumming greats of the 60s.

Wow, I hadn't thought of Michael in years. Both of those bands were quite good and never quite made it big. Played a lot around the midwest as I remember and had fairly strong following in that region. Good player and quite underrated as you noted. Thanks for bringing back some fond memories.
