Default Mainstage 2 Logic 9

Quick question, you are im sure familiar with logic pro 9 and mainstage.
As many of you know some guitarists and keyboardists use it for setting up different mixes and patches for live use. To quickly change "complete" riggs of "sound templates" in between songs instead of pushing a 100 buttons or stompboxes they just klick one key to switch to next setup and patch.

My Question is have anyone tried that for drums? i mean if i use a Preasonus Firetube and my macbook pro running mainstage i get very little latency.

I could easily wire the patches like the channel strips if i where to record. Apply compression reverb, envelopers etc etc etc.
Just run all the mic's into my Firetube and have logic run the signalpath thru the channel strips and have the main stereo mix run out of the Firetube and off to main PA or the individual stripp out to FOH (Front of House).

I havent had the time to play around with this idea yet. Anyone got any thoughts on it?
