Default Two Things

First off, i would like to say that i have purchased a set of Drum Slug beaters and absolutely love them! I cancelled my stock tama iron cobra beater because these things rock!

Second, at the drum shop, they had one of these:

I was on clearance for $128 CDN and im wondering if thats a good deal.

Mind you, the whole casing was a light color, no dark around the edges, maybe i have the wrong one? IT was the same design though, but i didnt look at it very long.

In my opinion they're more or less a one trick pony type of microphone with a considerable amount of self noise, this may or may not be a problem depending on how and where they are used. I've only used similar microphones when I had to mic a bass drum from inside the shell and you really should also have another microphone on the outside of the drum's resonant head as the main feed. If you're trying to find a decent bass drum mic, there are a lot of others that would work much better for the same or maybe a little more money.

Condenser mic for a kick drum on stage, no bueno... potential for too many problems, the exact reason they're not that popular.
