Default double pedal upgrade needed?

I have mentioned this before I been using a less then $100 pulse double chain pedal for about 2 years after my Iron cobra bit the dust..it was used and had bearing problems..I sure didnt see a step down going to the Pulse...maybe it was a well used IC pedal to begin with on its last leg, I only used it about 6 months before breaking...anyway this has kept me from spending big money on a new double pedal...I am comfortable with the Pulse..but now have to wonder will a say Axis, DW9000 or any of the $500+ pedals make a big difference? I am going tonight to check on some and may buy one if I "feel it" will really help. I am pretty adequate with a double not great but use it in about 20% of our set list....recommendations? will I really be able to tell a difference?

My guess is you WILL notice a difference especially with Axis or the other direct drive pedals as those have a completely different feel than a chain drive. You'll probably also notice on the DW's and other higher end pedals how much smoother and easier they are to play. Bottom line is put your feet on them and let your feet judge for you. ;-) Let us know what you decide.

BTW might be worth taking your current pedals to compare side by side.
