Default Pearl demon drive bass beater replacement help

The factory beaters are not to durable and are wearing out. I need a good light solid beater to compliment my pedal. I am looking at

http://drums-percussion.musiciansfri...ter?sku=445509

does anyone have suggestions or know if those beaters fit the DD??

I tried those beaters when I bought my 2 DD's - took them back the next day. Balance was off (and going nuts on the set the metal rod hit my shins!) they just did not have enough meat on them weight wise.

I went with the Pearl quad beaters - great balance on the DD's with the quad.

Agreed. I did exactly the same thing. I much prefer the DD's with a little more weight higher up on the pedal.

May not suit the OP as it appears he's looking for a "light" alternative, but for mine, the swap out to quads makes for a far better feel than the stock beaters.

you could try IC beaters and put the weight up top if you wanted extra weight.

Have you tried the DD optional wood beater shown here in orange? Son loves it but it eats drum heads so pick up a Kevlar pad if you do!.
