Default Tama Ergo-Rider rocking seat solutions

First post!

I have a Tama HT 730 Ergo-rider throne and the seat just will not stay tight. It's not all that stable when the nut is tight and gets looser as I play. I see a bunch of you have Tama thrones and like them. Anyone else have this problem?

Don't have problems with that. I have this one:

Are you tightning both bolts just as much, because I think that could be the problem?

The old Tama Ergo-Ride seats dont have this part that keeps the seatnut tight!

The Black one that you see in the picture: (to the left)

Here is a pic of the underside. The second nut is a one-piece hexagonal nut, not the 2-pc nut in Konne's pic.

It's harder to see, but the seat post fits into that black plastic sleeve which the clamp clamps around. I think that may be one reason why the seat never really feels solid. I don't see that sleeve in any of the other pics. Do other Tama's have that feature?

I do try to keep both nuts tensioned about the same.

The dimensions are 17.5 x 14.5. I believe the DOP was late 2004. This kit gets used a lot more now, and the wobbly seat is annoying.

I have the same seat. Same problem. Have to tighten it every other song. It was sent back to Tama once to get looked it. They put a new assembly on it and then when they recalled it I also received the recalled parts and switched them out and it didn't fix the issue either. This is the only Tama product that I have ever been disappointed in.

I had 2 of that same throne. Nice seat.

Take the black thing out.

Tighten the hex nut more and loosen the wing nut.
Put the seat back on and tighten the wing nut.
Should stay secure like that.

The black thing is what is making the top swivel or move. There's nothing for the clamp to "clamp on to" with that plastic thing in the way.

In Franks post, in the pic you don't see that black thing.
