Default the new roland td-4k!!!!!!!!

hi! i was looking at my local drumstores website and saw that they had the brand new roland td-4k kit in!
this is new news to me but i don't know if anyone else has playe or heard about them?
so the new td-4k is replacing the td-3k?the td-4k is selling at 825 on offer (969 after sale)

this is what they say about it:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

A dream for drummers, the new TD-4K offers outstanding feel, versatility, and affordability. With Roland’s patented mesh V-pad snare, the TD-4K is a pleasure to play. It’s ideal for practice, thanks to its Mix in function, Coach Mode, and Quick Rec. It’s also a great choice for the project studio, with improved sound quality and expressiveness, and MIDI output for sequencing or triggering other sounds.

• Centre-mounted TD-4 sound module with new sounds and more accurate sensing
• Patented mesh head for the snare for a great feel
• Velocity sensitive toms and cymbals with choke capability
• Unique and newly designed drum stand that is compact, light-weight, and stable
• Expandable with an optional pad or replace the ride cymbal to a CY-12R/C 3-way trigger V-Cymbal
• Compatible with optional VH-11 V-Hi-Hat to mount on conventional hi-hat stands
• Cable harness and DB-25 connector for fast and clean cable connection

Sound Bank
With four times the wave memory of its predecessor, the TD-4 is loaded with great drum kits and percussion instruments. Kits can be customised with tuning and muffling for the kick, snare, and toms accessible from the front panel. Ambience effects optimised for drums can be adjusted as well.

Coach Mode
The TD-4 is equipped with Roland’s acclaimed Coach Mode, which helps you build speed, stamina and accuracy. Five skill-building exercises are onboard, including the new Warm Ups that lets you practice different exercises consecutively for 5, 10, or 15 minutes. The new Tempo Check also helps you keep consistent time by lowering the metronome volume when you are playing accurately or vice versa, and raising the click volume when you are playing out of time.

Upgrade Path
As your needs grow, so too can theTD-4K. Upgrade to a VH-11 V-Hi-Hat for enhanced realism, or replace the ride cymbal with a CY-12R/C three-way trigger V-Cymbal for playing the bell, bow, and edge.

Kit includes Rack

dunno, its alittle too like the hd1 for me in that the frame dicatates the set up. i have a td3 in the front room and have it set up as a one up two down, which is bob on for getting practise based on how i setmy kit up, but from looking at that, it wouldn't be possible. Not with ease or compromise

The electric aspect sounds great, but the rack looks poor....

yes i aggree!
i don't like how they have put the toms and wil the td-4k be replacing the td-3?
well i do and don't want it to replace......
i want it to replace the td-3 but bot until november-december(winter time)
because i am getting a new electric kit and hopefully they will sell the td-3 on offer to make way for getting rid of them>?

but i don't cos i don't like the look of the td-4 and like ondevilsst said its looks to much like the hd-1 and you can't change the toms!

I dare say the td4 brain will be an improvemnet, Rolad always do improve the brain, but the rack is rubbish, just not manipulative enough. As far as i'm aware, the td3's are being run down, you get the old brain, but the new td 9 rack and an extra cymbal with the mesh snare pad., while stocks last. At least at Hamiltons music in Preston, you do.
