Default Conneting to superior drummer help.

Just got the Yamaha DTXtreme 3 special, and the module has a usb connector and a midi connector.

Is it possible to hook up to superior drummer with the usb slot? (I have usb cables way in the basement dont want to dig them out and have it not work though as it will be atleas a half hour search) or will i need to go out and buy myself a midi cable?

any help is appreciated, thank you.

I have the same kit and you'll need a MIDI cable.............I plug into the MBOX 2 and through Pro Tools trigger Superior Drummer not a problem.......it's been a while but switch to Channel 10 I think on Superior Drummer in the MIDI channel.......

anyhow there are heaps of people showing how's it's done on the net

USB is pretty much only used for backing up and restoring your module and updating firmware etc

Yeah, youtube is definitely your friend for this task. Just make sure you have all the right peripheral gear.
