Default Tama Rhytm watch or Boss DB-90?

I basically have my metronome choices down to these two. Could any of you that have one of these offer any comments? Pros, Cons?

Thanks,

Mark

Why spend hundreds of dollars on a metronome? Most pros who play with a click (most pros...) program their clicks and run them through a laptop nowadays. You can get the exact sounds you want, special cues, whatever. If you want to not have to set up your laptop and prefer a metronome for when you're just playing around, I believe you should get something cheaper. If you still want to put a lot of money on a sub-par alternative, get the Dr. Beat.

I'd probably go for the Boss just 'cause it has human voice count. The Tama only beeps; it's relatively basic.

I have a Tama, but I never use it unless I'm traveling (it's more compact that the Roland v-pad that I normally use).

There's an iphone app that has more capabilities and is easier to use for $1.99.

I have been using a Rhythm Watch for three years and I like it. I especially like how you can tap a tempo into it, and it tells you how many BPM that is - great for solving band disagreements. I don't know about the BOSS, though.

Boss' entry level metronome (the DB-30) has a "tap" function on it.......I'll crawl out on a limb and say that if the mickey mouse model has it, the top of the line will too.

Agreed mate, the "tap" is a great little function.
