Default Hardware Finish Opinions: Chrome/Brushed/Black

Hello everyone!
For those of you who have been following my story, I finally decided to buy my Tama Starclassic Bubinga's in the "Ultraviolet Sparkle" Color.
I got them for the price I initially wanted, and they are going to be made in lacquer, and in Japan. So after all the bullshit things numerous places told me, I went straight to the source"tama warehouse manufacturers "haha :)

What hardware finish will best suit this finish?
Chrome, Brushed Nickel, Black Nickel?

In my opinion I like the chrome because it's shiny, and makes the drums stand out more. Everyone else seems to have the black nickel which in my opinion do not match the drums at all,
What do you guys think? :)

Sorry for all the pictures: I'm in love

Thanks :)

I don't think that I would mind any of the hardware choices.
Perhaps the Brushed Nickel would be for me.
It may tone the purple down a bit and give it some warmth.

I like that the hardware of the drums matches the stands, so in your case I?d go with chrome harware, unless you can get your stands with other finish

I'm very partial to the brushed nickel as shown here on my Starclassic Bubinga Elites.
It's not so contrasty against the gun metal gray.

You do see how the contrast is very subtle, right?

Thank you for all the comments.
I think I'll go with the chrome hardware with the ultraviolet sparkle :)

@pocket-full-of-gold

The finish on the pictures (most of them) is chrome hardware

Does anyone makes good hardware - racks and such to match that new brushed nickel colors?

None that I'm aware of. However, the difference is very subtle between the brushed nickel and the regular chromed hardware, and at first glance you can't really tell. Since hardware around my kit is rather transient, it doesn't need to match the hardware on the drums.

See example here:

Whoarrh, has Larry seen this picture yet? OMG, I bet those tubs resonate, but even better if they were free floating! Don't expect Larry on the boards for at least a week after this!

Ahem, back on topic, yes, the nickle is a lovely touch.

Bo, do you take pleasure in teasing me with images that drive me wild?

This last one is almost too much to handle...

I mean it's almost like you're doing this on purpose!

Great day in the morning. That woman is just heaven in a pink dress.

Please get her to do a video, so I can hear her voice. If you can get her to say hi to me the I will be able to die with a satisfied mind.

Shes spectacular, please tell her so. Or better yet, let me have her email address and I'll tell her myself, every single day.

Yeah Larry, it's a complete accident that I set up the lighting in the studio just so, and then have her come in for some tea and modeling.....totally serendipitous that she drove up in her Corvette dressed like that! ;)

We're trying to decide which image to go with for some bumper stickers....here's another one we did on purpose.....
