Default Axis UDS Uni Drive Shaft & DW 5000 Simi Fix

Hi all, just joined today!

I have some insight for you, the UDS Axis Drive shaft and DW 5000 Double pedels. We all know about manu's with the loose u joints shafts over the years. Well it time for me to update mine. I noticed when clamping down on the key to hit the shaft (which is 1/4" sq. from DW) it becomes offset somewhat. Soooooooo! started thinking of making a key way coller to fit inside the .4225 ID hole on the Axis UDS.

Well found a 5/16 small 1/4" drive tool socket, after modified it will fit inside and re center the shafts and connections. I have to drill a hole on one side to allow the key to hit the square shaft.

I'm still in the process of getting it worked up at this time. Some pics!
