Default Tama power tower vs Gibraltar double bass rack

Which is the better rack?
If I got the Power tower, I'd get two on the front and two of the sides and use that. Or should I get the gibraltar double bass rack and just get 2 curved rack extensions on the side?

As far as general workmanship, not much difference. Gibraltar seems to have a much more extensive catalog of parts, clamps, and fittings, and really has a little "something for everyone"; you can have a straight-line, no frills rack or some curvy, zigzaggy masterpiece... basically limited to your budget and imagination, plus of course gravity.

One main difference is order time. Depending on where you live the Tama drum rack can have a very long wait. I live in Canada and they told me it would be an unspecified wait time due to the shipping costs for Tama. What Tama tends to do is wait until they have enough completed orders before they send the products over. So even if you just need one extra clamp, if you're forced to order it from the factory you could end up waiting anywhere from a week to over a year (no joke).

Because of the atrocious waiting time, I instead went with a Pearl Icon Rack and haven't looked back. Unless you want to build an insane custom drum rack, the Icon will cover your needs for less than the Tama rack.
