Default The iTunes Shuffle Game

Hope this hasn't been done already. Open your iTunes or comparable music player, put it on shuffle, and post the first ten songs that come up. You can just hit the 'skip' button 10 times to do it quickly. I think this game is kind of fun to see the variations between different people. There is also the potential for embarrassment if one of your "guilty pleasures" shows up. I'll start:

1. Purple Haze - Jimi Hendrix Experience
2. Jungle Boogie - Kool and the Gang
3. Miss Being Mrs. - Loretta Lynn
4. Pablo & Andrea - Yo La Tengo
5. Montell Benson (Mashup) - Go Home Productions
6. Do The Dog - The Specials
7. The Revolution Will Not Be Televised - Gil Scott-Heron
8. Here I Am - Al Green
9. Thru (Simon Grey Dub Rework) - Kings Of Tomorrow
10. Wanted Dead or Alive - Bon Jovi

ooooh these are always fun!!

When It Rains - Paramore (ok, off to a bad start)
Repressed - Apocalypitca
Nuguns - System Of A Down
Hours Of Wealth - Opeth (Finally, a song I actually listen to.)
Baby - Tenacious D
Perfect - Flyleaf
A Lot Of Nothing V - Coheed And Cambria
Tie My Rope - Children Of Bodom (One of the few songs I like from this band)

well I thought it would end up a lot worse.... although I'm disappointed their wasn't any Tony Williams, Miles Davis, Porcupine Tree or The Dave Matthews Band....

I don't want to skip through 10 possibly good songs, so I'll just post the last 10 that have played (always on shuffle).

Mastodon - The Last Baron
Mastodon - Shadows that Move (wtg shuffle, 2 in row?)
Meshuggah - Suffer in Truth
Opeth - The Throat of Winter
Helmet - Make Room
Prong - Third from the Sun (Live)
Jane's Addiction - Idiots Rule
Katatonia - Departer
Judge - Hear Me
Sepultura - Desperate Cry

Ooops... That was using my "Metal" playlist, hence the lack of variety. Here's "All":

Sugarcubes - Tidal Wave
Corrosion of Conformity - Seven Days
Rush - The Weapon
Sugarcubes - Eat the Menu
7 Seconds - Walk Together, Rock Together
Dave Matthews Band - Tripping Billies
Black Sabbath - A National Acrobat
Phish - Scent of a Mule
Fear Factory - Body Hammer
The Doors - Waiting for the Sun

Thanks. I agree, Van Lear Rose is a great album. An unlikely collaboration between two great artists that really worked. I dig every song on it. I usually play it when we're on the road, heading for a camping trip. It really fits the mood in rural surroundings.

Now, given that you liked my list, I think I should check out some of the bands on yours that I'm not familiar with.

lol... don't bother! Nohawks are a punk band I used to play with, songs there are differerent stages of mixing, Warren G and Geto Boys are 90's rap, Propagandhi are also a punk band, Cedar is another band of mine, again, a rough mix...

I do however strongly recommend Curtis Mayfield and Sly and the Family Stone if you are into Kool and the Gang.

Van Lear Rose is one of the few albums my gf and I can really agree upon. I do admittedly have a bit of a soft spot for a bit of twang, but Mr. White's production of the album as a whole makes it pretty classic. Just good music.

Here goes:
Clutch "American Sleep"
The White Stripes "Aluminum"
