Default to drum or not to drum...

apologies if someone already has this topic up...

but yeah. i've been drumming for around 13 years now. does anyone out there feel like they just want to leave it all and try something new? it really does get me down sometimes, i don't know why because i love drumming, i love music.

any opinion here would be great!

Default Re: to drum or not to drum...

Are you playing with others? No better motivation than "making music" with a band as opposed to "woodshedding" on your own.

Or how about trying a different style, learning skills that you've always wanted to play but have never bothered to learn. There's heaps of ways to stay motivated if you really want to keep playing. Of course, if you want to take a break and walk away from it, that's cool too. You may find you miss it all too much and come back to it with a new found vigour.
