Default clamp question

I need to buy a clamp to attach a Yamaha Tom to a Yamaha cymbal stand (800 series). Does the clamp have to be a Yamaha brand? or will any kind do just fine, and if so, whats a good one you recommend. thanks

Default Re: clamp question

You can use any clamp. They'll all do the job. Most hardware manufacturers make clamps. I have several, Pearl, Gibraltar and even a Yamaha. Of the ones I own, the Pearl design is the easiest to do up/undo because it is hinged, but they all work fine.
