Gretsch catalina maple.
Toms are 12, 14, 16 with Evans G2 over Evans G+.
Snare is 6.5 x 14 with Evans Genera Dry over Evans Hazy 300.
Bass is 20x20, with Remo Ambassador over stock gretsch reso head.

Cymbals (from left to right)
Hihats - '72 New Beats
Crashes - A custom 17", B8 18" (hammered), B8 14" (unbelievable sound)
Ride - ZBT 21" w/ hammering (K custom dark equivalent imo)
Splash is an old Avedis.

Gretsch Cat Club Jazz in Walnut Glaze.

Better full-kit pics will be up by the end of the month as I'll have a good camera by then.

ok this has been fun. Alot of Gretsch kits here that look fantastic. I just got a new set of catlina Maples. I love them take a look and give me your .02 I had a set of PDPs Birch drums witch were not too bad. I just had the itch to go maple. Wow they sound so loud in comparison. I like them and the looks are great. Just put Evans G2 heads on and you are set for some rockin.

Been meaning to post in here for a long time, but only just managed to swipe the camera away!

Here's my sexy Gretsch Catalina Club Rock in Silver Sparkle:

Full Setup:
Gretsch Catalina Club Rock Shells (13x9, 16x16, 18x16, 24x18)
Pearl Snare 14x6.5 (No clue what it is, if somebody could help me on that then it'd be really helpful)

Remo Emperors over Remo Ambassadors, Remo Powerstroke III over Remo Ambassador Snare, Aquarian Superkick II over Gretsch Reso head

Gibraltar 6600 Hardware:
2 Boom Stands
1 Straight Stand
Snare Stand
Hi Hat Stand
Kick Pedal

The 13x9 is attached with the Gretsch Mini-GTS tom clamp.

vvvv User Below vvvv

That's the kit I wish I'd have bought! Rubbing it in that is ;)

They're so cheap for what they are. If you're on a starter kit, ditch it and buy one of these kits now. I just took a look at the Gretsch website and it appears they only do this model with the 16x16 floor tom, not with the 18x16 one. Sad really, that 18" floor tom really shouts. It's almost like a concert tom.

Just because their website says that doesn't mean nowhere sells them. It said that our kit was a limited edition, I called up my "local" (as in 30 miles away local) drum shop and they said "no, it's not limited edition, we've got 8 sat in the stock room right now".

It's still a brilliant intermediate kit though.

Gretsch Renown in Blue Burst.

I finally picked up a 10" tom to go with the rest of my kit, and thought I would post a few pictures. The flash makes the blue a little brighter than it is in real life.

Specs:
Toms: 10, 12, 14, 16
Matching snare: 14x6.5
Bass: 22x20

I just bought a 2010 Catalina Birch kit. Really a nice kit and great value. I like the sound. My first kit I received as a Christmas present in 1960 a gold sparkle Round Badge sits with it. You guys have some beautiful drums. Sodbusterjim.

Thank you for posting that picture of your Catalina Birch Kit Jim because you gave me a great idea. I'm going to see if I can buy a Catalina Birch kit in white pearl and combine it with my current Catalina jazz kit in white pearl which will effectively end my search for a drum set.......for now anyway.

Music is Awesome, it sounds like a wild plan to me! I have nothing but praise for my new Cat Birch kit. Puting these kits together, well I want find out how awesome that setup would sound and look. I searched up to see your kit and obviously I thought it was stellar. Sodbusterjim.
