Default Question about Evans g2 coated

How often should you change these heads? I've heard that they last much longer cause of the coat or something but i'm not sure.

When they are 'lifeless' and no longer sing..............swap 'em out.

Whether the coating actually does last longer on Evans heads is a subject for debate. I've seen many comments written here supporting this point. I've also seen many that dispute it. Durability is in the eye of the beholder, in this case i think.

In general, change the head when it gets dented, damaged, loses so much tone that it can't project, or otherwise does not meet your needs. If you play brushes, for example, I would tell you to change it when it loses most of the center coating, while if you don't I would say it could be fine for a while after that.
