Default My PDP x7

Hey guys, just a few pictures of the kit :D. All maple shells, bought them in the summer. About to order a new set of hihats and new ride from Amedia this month, in the pictures are Camber hats/ride.
  • 8x7/10x8/12x9/14x12/16x14/22x88
  • Clean Emperors over PDP factory single ply heads
  • Aquarian SuperKick-II bass
  • 13" Amedia Eremy HiHats
  • 18" Sabian XS20 Crash/Ride
  • 20" Amedia Galata ride
  • 16" Zildjian ZBT Rock Crash

How do you like the X7 kit? Some retailers are selling these at a deep discount (around $400 for the whole 7 piece kit) and I was thinking of picking one up. How's the quality and the sound?

For $400? Just go get one. Like right now. The kit sounds great and for $400 you cannot go wrong.

I paid $1000 for the shell-pack new (CAD). They really do sound great, I hear even the birch/poplar ones sound nice. Very full, warm sounding (i think those are the words..) :D

For $400, jesus thats a steal. Made by DW you know :p

The $400 ones might be the old poplar-shelled X7s -- before they upgraded the series to maple.

Shell packs for those, new, were around 700. That might be more fitting.
