Default Coated Powerstroke 3 issue

First song into our set and the coating had already worn off and left my beater covered in white dust. Plus it's already chipped away within 30 mins. Anyone had chipping problems from these heads?

Coated Powerstroke 3's are notorious for having coating wear, its because they put the coating on a clear head. It has no surface to form a bond.

Just curious why you aren't using some kind of patch for your bass drum? Whether it be the aramid fibre Falam Slam, the AF from Evans, or the super thins from Aquarian?

I usually never have problems with coated or clear. Which is why it took me by surprise. I put the patch on now to stop it from further.
