Default My Sonor kit

My new Force 3007 in Autumn Fade arrived today and I had a joyous time putting it all together. Right off the bat the finish on the shells is very nice, I'm really glad I chose this color. The tuning lug hardware and especially the hardware pieces that grip the bass drum hoops could be finished better in my opinion however. The chrome finish on those particular pieces needs to be a little bit nicer to compare with my last kit a Pearl Session kit. The cymbal stands and tom mounts are really nice though and look like they should offer rapid positioning at any time and the chrome finish is very nice. I can probably see myself getting new heads but I'll see how they sound first. Tomorrow I will be tuning the kit and playing a bit, so we'll see how the first impressions are.

Here's my kit:
Force 3007 Power Stage 1 Kit in Autumn Fade
10" x 8" Tom
12" x 9" Tom
13" x 10" Tom
16" x 16" Floor Tom
14" x 5.5" Snare
22" x 17.5" Bass Drum

Default New Force 3007 Kit

So today I took some goof off and took off all the little "Made in China" stickers. Is that wrong? They were very small and you really couldn't see them, but I'm just that kind of guy I guess.

Any drummers here from Portland, Oregon? Looking for people to chat, play, exchange ideas, girlfriends, etc.?

That's a great looking kit. I really like that finish. Are you still running the heads that came with it or have you changed them out? I just put on the Aquarian Super Kick II head tonight, we'll see how that works.

Amazing instruments guys. Some folks own Lexus and Cadillacs. I'd rather own high-end drums !!

Just ordered this same kit (6 piece) in the maple finish. I currently play a Gretsch Catalina Birch kit and had ordered a new Renown kit that came damaged. The reorder of the Renown’s was an April date and I canceled the order.
Musicians Friend has an offer for the Sonor 3007 6 piece shell pack for $999 and the Pearl Export hardware back for $149. I had a coupon for an additional 10% off so I though I would give this kit a try. I love my Gretsch kit and plan to continue using it as well but wanted a new maple kit to replace my 81 Slingerlands. Those will be cased and put away. The kit and hardware for just over $1,000. Had to give it a try.

I all but had the 3007 Stage 3 model of that kit ordered when I found my Gretsch Renowns.
I love those drums and that finish. Congrats on the last kit you will ever need.

I almost feel to cry because of how happy i am... dude.. i just got my own in today (sonor force 3007).. i live in Trinidad and Tobago so its very difficult to get good equipment at a decent price.. any way.. o ordered these a while ago in the BLUE SPARKLE because i found that to be the best...
Well ok.. i know this may sound bias.. but i swear on my life that my new kit in the blue sparkle is the most beautiful kit i have ever seen in my life... It is currently in my girlfriends house ( i dont have much space in mine).. i just left there about half an hour ago.. and i just finished settin up the drums about 2 hours ago.. when i was leaving i just kept looking and looking.. man oh man..

Any way my own thread will be coming soon..

I cant express how happy I am...
Any way, sorry for blabbing on.. i just wanted to say.. im with you on this great purchace and i hope you enjoy it as much as i will man! :D

Take care!
Nick

P-Town

How are the 3007's doing for you. I got my kit last week and even with the Remo UT heads they sound great. I have the Maple finish. Take a look.
