Default Building a bass drum pad

Hi

I can't seem to find any bass drum practice pads here. I have started playing double bass, so I need to practice, but it's not possible to play on my kit all the time. So, does anyone have any ideas on how to make a bass drum practice pad using home materials?

Thanks

Here's my own custom one.

Cost me 5$ and three hours of my time. FYI, I took hockey soft rubber puck as the beater rebound surface and also it serve to mute the sound for silent practice.

During last summer camping trip...

Hey there mind_drummer.
Thats awesome man , i don't suppose you could kindly tell me and maybe other folk wondering what those plastic puck things are , and where you got them :)
Also what the snare practice pad is?

Do you find it effective practice aswell?

Wow......probably the most un organized wording ever :P

Cheers :)

The practice pad is just a remo practice pad, can be had at almost any music shop.
