Default Gloves Vs Tape Vs Combo

I am wondering what gloves i should get (if any) because i play 215bpm+ metal and use the ahead 5B "rock" sticks, at that speed after about 5 minuites the ridge between the grip thing (its not really grippy) starts to cut my hands and thats not good, and my hands start to sweat at about that time. So what should i use, gloves, grip tape OR gloves and grip tape, and some prices would be useful.

perhaps you should look into your grip and technique.but if your still wanting a grip fix id suggest a can of rubber dip from your local hardware store ,its used for coating the handles of tools. Ive heard a lot of drummers with sweaty hand problems really like this stuff and its about 10 bucks a can or so.

Also try tennis racket grip tape. As for gloves I think gloves plus some kind of tape would be too grippy. I'd go one or the other if you choose to use either.

US$ man. I've seen Plasti Dip available for between 20-30 bucks Aussie. Never used it and have no idea how it will go, but may be worth a try. Check Bunnings.
