Hey all,

My New Highwood snare came the other day. it sounds fantastic, I'm still messing with the tuning but straight out the box it sounded great.

Specs:

13" x 6.5"
5ply maple, 5ply birch
Trick throw off
Evans Power Center Reverse Dot on the batter
Evans Snare Side 300 Hazy on the bottom

The pics were taken on a Cannon EOS 30D DSLR

I love that finish, and the tube lugs!!!!!

How do you like the sizes? 13 x 6.5 is a small diameter, and 6.5 is quite deep.

Do you have pics with your kit around it??

Bram

Well, I have one but it is in my practice room which is kinda small and dark so the picture isn't that good but here you go anyway. when it stops raining i will take the kit outside and take some decent shots :) ( i have changed my set up to 1 up 3 down since that pic,10" on the left)

You can see it glow with the flash :) in low light the ring around then center glows :)

Congratulations. That's a beautiful looking snare you have there. They (Highwood) make high quality items, that's for sure. Enjoy that baby!

What i like about it is that it reminds me of the starclassic bubinga finish but with the green instead of a gold stripe. Did you ask for a trick throw off then?

Great looking lugs man! Not a fan of the two finishes combined, but it'll shure sound awsome! Have fun with it :-D
