Not to be a party-pooper, but it looks like the snare is a "later" Blue/Olive badge. It looks like the corners are rounded in the pic...

Not that that's bad, really, at all. The kit is pretty sweet, and having a snare in matching wrap is icing on the cake!

We have a winner! The snare is actually a keller maple snare that was wrapped and had all Ludwig hardware put on. The owner of Rockin Robin told me the guy in California who did this removed the bop wrap from a drum from the same time period and wrapped this drum so it would be a perfect match, I guess they didn't show the same detail with the badge. I didn't even notice it until you pointed it out, good call.

nice kit! I buy my kits at rockin' robin too. I saw that ludwig kit a few weeks ago. really clean looking.

matt johnson from mighty orq has a black oyster pearl kit like that but with 14x14 and 16x16 it sounds killer!

That is a beautiful kit with a great sense of history, my friend!

(... funny, but I have this thing against lonely bachelor tom holders humming away on viagra on their ownsome, you know..

its off putting, but purely a personal thing, I realize, nothing against your kit. If it was me, I'd point him south.. BUT hey! great kit! )

What I would do is take out that L arm completely! And, if you want to, replace it with the boom arm from a cymbal stand. That's one less stand you have to position/haul around...
