Default Roto Toms/ Roto Hats

Hi guys. I used to post on here way back when but haven't been on for a good eighteen months or so. I'm looking to try and get hold of or make some roto hats - I believe Terry Bozzio used to or still does use these, as does Tomas Haake. I'm curious to get some set up. They're basically the frames of roto toms on a hi hat stand or remote hi hat stand. I'd love to give it a go but don't want to spend the money on roto toms and discover I can't make them up so does anyone know of either how to put some together or where I might be able to get a set?

Default Re: Roto Toms/ Roto Hats

the just-by-themselves Rototom frames are called Spoxe. Remo really doesn't appear to make them or at least push them heavily anymore. But I bet now that you know what they're called, you could Google them or try looking on eBay and possibly find some.

They fit right on hi-hat or cymbal stands, no mods required. Used to have a 10" one back in the day...
