Default Self-Containg Bass Trigger/Sound Module?

Hello everyone, newbe here! Found the forum while trying to remember the name of an item I came across about 8 years ago when I was a very active musician, and now as a studio owner I could use one!

Some drummer has a bass drum trigger which had a built in module of some sort. Just has one sound, a very "clicky" metal sound, and maybe a gain adjustment, all self contained, powered by phantom power I believe.

I want to use this basically to record the signal and live performance, then use Drumagog to replace the bass drum with a sampled kick sound. I have a hard time with drumagog with false triggers when I use it with an acoustic bass drum recorded with a mic, but an electronic drum signal, no problems.

If anyone know the name of this device, or one similar, please let me know!

Thanks!
