Default Alesis Preformance pad

How can i program a 808, or a bass drop, or a boom, sample from a sample on a mac to the pad? I have the sample on my Mac but im having trouble converting it the the pad so i can play it live.

I'm not sure you can load your own samples on the Alesis pad. I've been using a Roland SPD-S with a PD-8 Trigger Pad connected to it. With that, you can load your own samples on a CompactFlash Card. The only thing is that it's a rather expensive set up for just triggering 808 kicks.

You may want to see if the Alesis Pad has a built in 808 sound already. If it does, you could probably get away with just using that.
