Default Yamaha DFP-9415

Just wanted to post a little review.

I just ordered and received this Yamaha Direct Drive double pedal and it really is smooth and fast. I was playing an Iron Cobra previously and the difference is "very" noticeable in terms of control and speed. I like to play heel down and this pedal does work very nicely for that style, heel-toe wasn't too hard and I have a size 12 shoe, and I wasn't so shabby on heel up either.

Very happy with the product. I think I am most pleased with the amount of control. I would only give the "slight" edge to the Iron Cobra in adjustability.

P.S. The new model is DFP 9500D. the one I have is discontinued.

I have 2 Yamaha FDDD single pedals, and I'll agree. A very sweet pedal. I tried the Tama IC, and I didn't like it at all. I actually A/B'd a DW5000A3 with the Yamaha for about 1 month, before "coming to my own conclusion" that the Yamaha was the pedal for me. Sold the DW, and bought a second Flying Dragon. When I need a double pedal, I use a Center Pedal, but it's a "whole 'nuther beast.
