Default Gator Hard Cases Anybody?

I did a search, and could not find a review on Gator GPR ATA hard cases. I know SKB cases are really good, but they are much more expensive. I was wondering if anybody uses the Gator cases, and what they thought of them? Anybody out there using Gator cases? Are they any good?

I guess nobody in the forum uses Gator Cases? That speaks volumes for their product... looks like I'll pass on these. The equivalent SKB package is about a hundred bucks more, and does not include a snare case. Currently I use Protection Racket bags, and have been very happy with them, but, due to some major traveling coming up, I need a good set of hard cases. Looked into custom "Anvil" type road cases, and those are way out of my budget constraints. Thanks, and keep on drummin' everybody!

i have the skb cymbal vault and love it. i would love to get all skb but just cannot afford it.
i think im going to end up with gator cases.
i need all hard cases for my tour in july and have been looking for the cheapest option.

i got in contact with the guys at gator cases and was quoted a decent price.
if i get them soon, ill post some pics and a review.

good luck man,

In my experience SKB and Gator are about the same level in qualityÖ
That said I have had both fall apart on me in the Pro Audio world. Blown plastic and extruded aluminum just donít stand up when housing heavy equipment.
When used to protect a drum I suspect they would stand up equally as well and both being better than soft cases.
