Default Heads combo for old Slingerland set-pop rock sound

Hi everybody, i want to change heads (ambas.coated top, ambas.clear bottom) on my 1966-Slingerland toms (12,16-with reinforcement rings).
I think that the sound that i already have with this combination is too jazzy for what i am searching for. I have another be bop Slingerland that i use only for jazz gigs.
Sound that i am searching for is versatile modern pop-rock sound with more low end, i would not like to have too much sustain.
my thoughts: 1.fyberskin 3 FA(ambassador) on batter and reso
2.Ec2 batter, emperor or g2 bottom
3.pinstripe coated batter,emperor reso
????
Thanks to all

Try the Evans g2 coated on top and Remo Emporers on bottom. That combo seems to work really well on my vintage Pearls.
