Default 2 New snares, made by my dad

So, after my dad made me a small drum kit with a segment snare, my friend Hjalti and my drum teacher Žorvaldur, wanted to buy one snare each.

For Hjalti, my dad made a 7,5x14" Stave snare out of oak. The hardware on it is of a Pearl Forum snare.

For Žorvaldur, he got a 5,5x14" Segment snare out of maple and walnut. This snare has reinforcements. The hardware is of a Sonor 3007 snare.

I think that both drums are awesome, both in sounds and looks. But I am yet to try them properly tuned :)

They both look awesome, especially the 2nd! I never much liked the "EC" snare heads though. I just felt those drumheads took away too much "snarey goodness".

Those deserve an evans reverse power center batter head.

You are very lucky!

Wow! That's amazing! Does your dad do this professionally or on the side? Looks like he's had a lot of experience. Very well done!

"...and the award for Best Use of Pearl Forum hardware goes to. . . . AronMapex's dad!"
