Default Sticks for Funk

Hey guys,
Im wondering what some of the best sticks for funk are. I've used a bunch of sticks of varying sizes. Nylon tip, wooden tip, different shaped tips. I've been thinking of moving to aliminium sticks. I think they'd get alot of defenition from the hats and ride. What do you guys think?

I don't believe there are perfect sticks for particular styles. Especially funk. This all depends on how it feels in your hand. If you are looking for nice articulate sound, I'd go with a round tip. But the weight and type of wood, everything is subjective.

Sticks are subjective.. the weight, feel in your hands, length, etc.

What comes to mind though, maybe look at:

Zildjian John Blackwell Jia signature sticks
Vater Matrix sticks
Vic Firth Zoro signature sticks
