Default Rubber Band Bass Pedal Modification

Hey just curious, someone told me that you could wrap a rubber band around somewhere on your pedal, he wasn't sure, but he said it does a double stroke and I was curious if any of you forum members knew about this mod, or could tell me how to do it. I think I will try wrapping the rubber band around the pedal board, or beater or some weird thing like that.

In any event, you wouldn't be in control of this rubber band double stroke. Even if you learned the subtleties of the new modification, a rubber band would weaken and break so fast that you still would never fully have control.

Sounds like a friend is sacrificing finesse for flash.

Hmmm so I wrapped it around the pedal board and the bottom plate and it just seemed to reduce spring tension, I wasn't a big fan of it, and it made it really light and uncomftorable, so it didn't work out, maybe I did it wrong though.

I play a Duallist and the strap for the secondary beater is very elastic and stretchy, like a thick section of rubber band. But that only works because of the design of the pedal. I can't think how a standard pedal could do that.
